Autism Learners was founded in 2018 by Chemise Taylor with the mission of providing compassionate, evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services that empower children with autism to reach their fullest potential.
Chemise began her career in ABA in 2012, providing clinic-based therapy to young children with autism. She later expanded her experience as a special education teacher at a specialized private ABA school, where she worked with adolescents and teenagers with autism. Throughout her career, she has provided services in home, clinic, and school settings, supporting individuals ages 2 and older across a wide range of developmental needs.
With more than 12 years of experience, Chemise is committed to delivering individualized, high-quality care that produces meaningful, lasting outcomes. Her clinical approach emphasizes reducing challenging behaviors while building communication, independence, daily living, and social skills that improve each child's quality of life. Families appreciate her compassionate, collaborative approach and dedication to helping every child make measurable progress.
At Autism Learners, each team member shares Chemise's commitment to excellence. Together, we strive to create a supportive, engaging, and positive environment where children can learn, grow, and develop the skills they need to succeed, while providing parents with the guidance and support they deserve.
In addition to her clinical work, Chemise Taylor is the author of the My Skills Books series, a collection of educational books designed to teach adaptive functioning skills, including activities of daily living, requesting help, communication, and social skills. These practical resources reflect her passion for helping children build greater independence both in therapy and in everyday life.
